European Immunization Week (21 – 27 of April 2008)

Bulgaria participated in the European Immunization Week for the first time in 2008. In order to promote this initiative of Ministry of Health we developed a national awareness raising campaign on creation a better understanding of the social impact of vaccinations among the people.
It included a concept, making and distribution of a TV spot among over 10 national, regional and cable TVs and also an organization, media relations and media monitoring of a round table “The problems of immune prevention, need and the right for protection of infectious diseases”, which took place in the National Assembly (NA) and was under the patronage of the chairman of the 40th NA Georgi Pirinski.

UNDP - Prevention of Avian Flu Among Roma Community
The Avian Flu prevention among Roma community project is funded by UNDP and implemented by Health Problems Among Minorities foundation and IntelDay Solutions Team.
IntelDay Solutions has provided design and production of posters, brochures and playing cards for children. Special TV film H5N1-The Killing Virus was produced. In addition 5 special events were organised for 65 Roma health mediators nationwide.
